He’s not the only name notorious to turn down a comeback this season, but he’s one of the few who hasn’t really made his decision clear. Well, during an interview with SiriusXM NBA Radio , Bradley Beal’s agent Mark Bartelstein finally explains why his client will be absent from Orlando.
“If they were legitimate NBA Championship contenders this year, I’m sure there would be a bit of a different conversation,” said Bartelstein. “It’s just that, you have to measure the risk and what is in dgot it.

“I don’t want to reduce the opportunities the Wizards have now. This is a big moment for them. To make a playoff it would turn around a season where it would be a redevelopment in many ways. I don’t think that anyone thinks they’ll have a chance to be on the playoff team. “
It seemed Beal wasn’t confident in the Washington Wizards’ chances of making a meaningful run during this Orlando restart. The risk of injury or contracting COVID-19 seems to outweigh the possibility of making a postseason.
